The ultimate struggle: makeup vs. makeup free

Why Not Both?
Well not really a struggle. The key in this is confidence, once it is found hold onto it and don't lose it. It was an ultimate test of how I felt about myself in public settings; if I was being judged of my tiredness or lack of a "proper face." It was honestly hard at first, I believed people were looking at me, and not to mention I did get asked if I was tired at work, but really who wants to wear makeup at 5AM? The stress-free of it all is very enjoyable. As I got more used to being free, I just started slowly applying makeup; like one day all I would wear was lipstick or concealer. Then on my days off where I had more time to get full glam, I did. Its not a battle between the forces but really what empowers us. I don't need to put on makeup everyday, every shift, every event. It's this self-awareness of "I can do what ever I want."
Through this experience I've learned with or without makeup I'm not weak, and others opinions of my makeup routine isn't their business. |
